Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International School of Textiles & Management (SVPISTM) Coimbatore, an autonomous body under the aegis of Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, has started registrations for 2022 Entrance Test for admission in its BSc & BBA Textiles programs.

Courses offered & intake

a) BSc (Textiles) : 80 seats, 8 additional for EWS

b) BSc (Technical Textiles) : 40 seats, 4 additional for EWS

c) BBA (Textile Business Analytics) : 40 seats, 8 additional for EWS

About the Courses : The 3 Year full time degree programmes, offered in collaboration with Central University of Tamil Nadu, are specifically tailored to fit the needs of the international textile and clothing sector. In this course, the students acquire an overarching knowledge about textile and clothing technology as well as management practice. Applied Science, Languages, Textiles and Management Subjects will be dealt in the programs. Students exchange programs, internship, Industrial visits and business sessions are the part of the program. Self-study topics, hands on training in the conducive environment provides comprehensive learning platform.

Admission procedure : Candidates will be admitted to the above courses through SVP Entrance Test conducted by SVPISTM (50% seats) and Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) (50% seats).

Application fee : Application fee for General/OBC candidates is Rs.500/-. SC / ST / PWD candidates are exempted from payment of this fee. Application fee can be paid through online and the transaction details should be furnished in the application form.

Eligibility

a) For BSc : A Pass in Plus two examination or equivalent of any recognized board in India with science stream/vocational stream with textile subjects having 50% of marks for General and 45% marks for OBC (NCL)/SC/ST/PWD candidates

b) For BBA : A Pass in Plus two examination or equivalent of any recognized board in India (any stream) having 50% of marks for General and 45% marks for OBC (NCL)/SC/ST/PWD candidates.

Part A - English, General Knowledge, Numerical Ability

Part B - Multiple choice questions from plus two physics, chemistry and mathematics or biology syllabus.
